Made for puzzle-book creators and teachers
Mazes worth
printing.
Maze Studio generates real, solvable mazes in five cell geometries and any silhouette you can draw, then lays them out into a print-ready puzzle book with a matching answer key. It runs entirely in your browser.
Free account, 100 AI credits to start, and no subscription. Maze generation never costs credits.

Maze Studio
Draw one maze, exactly right
Pick a cell geometry, set the size and difficulty, then style it until it looks like yours. Every change re-renders live; nothing is baked until you export.

Maze Book Creator
Turn mazes into a book
Choose a trim size, say how many pages, and get a print-ready interior with a difficulty curve, gutter-aware margins, and a matching answer key.

Cover Studio
Design the cover it deserves
Lay out front, spine, and back on a real KDP wrap. Set the type, drop in a backdrop, and export the full spread at print resolution.

Maze Words
Make a maze that spells something
Type a name, a class, or a message. The letters become one connected maze, and the answer travels the whole phrase from the first letter to the last.
Spell something
Same maze, five presets
Style is a setting, not a redraw.
Wall weight, colour, paper, and the hand-drawn feel all apply to the maze you already have. Change your mind about the look and the puzzle underneath stays exactly the same, which is what keeps an answer key valid.
Black walls on white. The default, and the one that prints cleanest at any size.
And beyond the square grid
- Square
- Hexagon
- Triangle
- Upsilon (octagon + square)
- Arc / radial
- Circle boundary
- Hexagon boundary
- Isometric cube
- Custom silhouette
- Weave / over-under
- Uploaded SVG shape
Cell type and boundary combine, so a hexagon grid inside a circular boundary and a square grid masked into a crescent are both two clicks away. Weave mode adds over-under crossings that read like Celtic knotwork at high density.

For puzzle-book creators
A 100-page interior in an afternoon
- Set a difficulty curve once and the book ramps from easy to brutal across the pages, using measured decision counts rather than a label you guessed at.
- Trim sizes, safe margins, and the odd/even gutter shift are handled, so the PDF you upload is the one that gets approved.
- Answer keys are generated alongside the puzzles and stay matched to them, page for page.
- Vary style, colour, and shape across the book instead of shipping 100 identical grids.
-
For teachers
A worksheet that fits the lesson
- Spell a student's name, a spelling word, or a unit title as a maze in Maze Words, then print it as a warm-up.
- Dial fineness up or down per class so the same activity works for a Year 2 group and a Year 6 group.
- Mask a maze into a heart, a star, a leaf, or any SVG silhouette you already have for a seasonal handout.
- Export at 4x resolution or as SVG, so a maze blown up to A3 for the wall stays crisp.
The Book Creator
Difficulty you can defend.
"Hard" is worthless if it is a label somebody typed. The Book Creator scores every generated page on the things that actually make a maze hard - how many decision points sit on the solution, how deep the false branches run, how dense the dead ends are - and keeps regenerating until the page lands in the band for its tier.
-
A real difficulty curve
Pages ramp across the book instead of jumping around. Each one reports its measured decision count, so you can see the ramp rather than trust it.
-
Mixed, not repetitive
Style, colour, and shape can stay consistent, vary automatically across the book, or be overridden page by page. A preview strip shows the mix before you build.
-
Print-ready on the way out
KDP-safe margins, mirrored gutters on odd and even pages, an optional title strip, and an answer-key section that stays matched to the puzzles.
Pricing
The studio is free. Credits are for AI art.
Carving, styling, solving, and exporting a maze all happen on your own machine, so there is nothing for us to charge for. Credits are spent only when you ask an AI to draw something - a scene, a marker pair, a silhouette, a cover backdrop. New accounts start with 100.

Before you sign up
Questions people actually ask.
- What do I actually get for free?
- The whole studio. Every cell type, every boundary, every style control, unlimited mazes, unlimited books, and every export format. Maze generation is pure computation in your browser, so there is nothing for us to meter. Credits exist only for AI-generated artwork.
- Can I sell what I make?
- Yes, on any platform, with no royalty and no attribution. Exports carry no watermark and no Maze Studio branding. The licensing page spells it out.
- What formats does it export?
- SVG and PNG, each with or without the solution shown. SVG exports are self-contained, keep every style and filter, and scale to any print size. PNG rasterises at 4x screen resolution on white.
- Is it print-ready for KDP?
- The Book Creator lays out on real trim sizes with KDP-safe margins and mirrors the gutter on odd and even pages. Cover Studio builds the full front-spine-back wrap. You still choose the trim and check the proof, as you would with any interior.
- Do credits expire?
- Purchased credits are valid for twelve months from the day they land. The balance and the expiry date are both on your AI Credits page, and you get a warning email before anything lapses.
- Does it need installing?
- No. Maze Studio runs in the browser on Mac, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS. Your projects save to your account, so you can start on one machine and finish on another.
